Sonic AI 24X Amplifier Explained: How It Really Works
The Sonic AI 24X amplifier is an account type that multiplies the strategy's position sizing by 24. This means that when the Sonic AI strategy opens a trade on gold (XAUUSD), a 24X account executes a position 24 times larger than a standard account with the same balance. Both potential gains and potential losses are amplified by the same factor. This page explains how amplification works, the difference between 12X and 24X, and the risks involved.
What does amplification mean?
In copy trading, position sizing determines how much each trade affects your account. If the strategy's base position is 0.01 lots on XAUUSD, a standard account mirrors that 0.01 lots. A 12X account mirrors it at 0.12 lots, and a 24X account at 0.24 lots. The underlying trade direction, entry price, stop loss, and take profit are identical — only the position size changes.
12X vs 24X: returns, leverage and risk
| Account type | Position multiplier | Effect on gains | Effect on losses | Risk level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1X | Base return | Base loss | Lowest |
| 12X amplified | 12X | 12× base return | 12× base loss | High |
| 24X amplified | 24X | 24× base return | 24× base loss | Highest |
The strategy's historical maximum drawdown is under 1% on a standard account. On a 24X account, that same drawdown would be amplified to under 24%. While still modest in absolute terms, the percentage impact on your account balance is 24 times larger. Higher leverage increases both potential gains and losses.
How to activate the 24X account
To activate the 24X amplified account you do need a code. The activation code (Community Token) required to unlock the 24X amplifier is #aitech. This token is entered into the Community Token field on the COPYX "Copy Strategy" popup, which then verifies your eligibility and auto-fills the Token Burn Wallet Address. The activation process takes place on the COPYX platform after you have registered and funded your TAG Markets account:
- Register using your partner's referral link on the COPYX IB Portal.
- Fund your TAG Markets brokerage account.
- Open the COPYX "Copy Strategy" popup for Sonic AI.
- Enter your investment amount and confirm Account Type shows "Amplify".
- Expand the Community Token dropdown and enter the code #aitech, then click Verify.
- The Token Burn Wallet Address auto-fills — leave it as is.
- In the HASH/GU-ID field, enter 00.
- Click Submit, then tick both agreement boxes and click Copy Now.
Please follow the video tutorials — they show exactly when and how to apply the code #aitech during the COPYX setup so the 24X amplifier is applied correctly to your account.
Is the 24X amplifier right for you?
The 24X amplifier is the most aggressive account type. It is designed for investors who:
- Understand that amplified losses are real and can deplete capital quickly during adverse runs
- Have capital they can afford to lose
- Are comfortable with higher volatility in exchange for higher potential returns
If you are new to copy trading or risk-averse, start with a standard or 12X account. You can always upgrade to 24X later once you are comfortable with the strategy's behaviour.
Risk management for amplified accounts
Risk and drawdown management for amplified accounts is handled directly by Sonic AI's experienced trading team. The strategy is designed to operate within predefined risk limits, with a maximum drawdown threshold of approximately 10% for 12× amplified accounts and 5% for 24× amplified accounts.
Based on Sonic AI's reported trading history, the strategy has not experienced more than two consecutive losing trades during the past 20 months.
Under the current account structure, a 12× amplified account would theoretically require approximately 70 consecutive losing trades to reach its closure threshold. For a 24× amplified account, approximately 35 consecutive losing trades would be required.
These calculations are intended to illustrate the risk-management structure of amplified accounts. However, all trading involves risk, historical performance does not guarantee future results, and losses may occur.
