How to Connect Sonic AI to MetaTrader 5 — Full Tutorial
This guide walks you through the complete process of connecting the Sonic AI Gold strategy to your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account via COPYX. Sonic AI trades exclusively on gold (XAUUSD) and copies automatically into your broker account once the connection is established. No manual trading is required — the strategy executes, and you monitor.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you need:
- A trading account with a broker that supports MT5 and XAUUSD
- Completed identity verification (KYC) with your broker
- Funds deposited to meet the minimum required for COPYX activation
- Your MT5 account number and investor password

Step 1: Open and verify your broker account
Register through the AITech IB Portal using your partner's referral link. Complete the KYC process by uploading your identification documents. This typically takes a few hours to one business day.
Step 2: Fund your account
Deposit funds to your brokerage account using the available methods (bank transfer, card, or crypto). The minimum deposit depends on your account type. See our deposit guide for step-by-step funding instructions.
Step 3: Access the COPYX platform
Once your account is funded, log in to the COPYX platform through your broker's client portal or the AITech IB Portal. Navigate to the strategy marketplace and find the Sonic AI strategy.
Step 4: Configure the copy settings
- Click "Copy Strategy" on the Sonic AI profile in COPYX.
- Enter your investment amount.
- Confirm the Account Type shows "Amplify" if you want an amplified (12X or 24X) account.
- If using an amplified account, expand the Community Token dropdown and enter the required token, then click Verify.
- The Token Burn Wallet Address auto-fills — leave it as is.
- In the HASH/GU-ID field, enter the required value.
- Click Submit.
- Tick both agreement boxes, then click "Copy Now."
Step 5: Verify the connection in MT5
Open your MetaTrader 5 terminal and log in with your account credentials. You should see the Sonic AI positions appear in the Trade tab as they are executed. Run one test trade by waiting for the next strategy signal to confirm that:
- Trades are appearing in your MT5 terminal
- Position sizes are proportional to your account balance
- The XAUUSD symbol is mapping correctly (some brokers list gold as "GOLD" instead of "XAUUSD")
Common issues and troubleshooting
Trades are not appearing in MT5
Check that your COPYX connection is active. Log out and back in to both COPYX and MT5. Confirm that your broker account supports the XAUUSD symbol and that you have sufficient free margin.
Symbol mapping mismatch
Some brokers list gold as "GOLD" or "XAU/USD" instead of "XAUUSD". If COPYX cannot find the correct symbol, contact your broker's support to confirm the exact symbol name and ensure COPYX is configured to use it.
High slippage on entries
Slippage occurs when the executed price differs from the signal price. This is more common during high-volatility periods (NFP, Fed announcements). Using a broker with ECN-style execution and tight XAUUSD spreads minimises slippage.
